Clay Bibbee, Charleston, WV - Managing Partner

Clay Bibbee became General Manager & Managing Partner of Centercourt Athletic Club in August, 2007. Clay was the USPTA Eastern Division 2009 Facility Manager of the Year. Clay came to Centercourt from The Montclair Golf Club in West Orange NJ, where he was the Director of Racquets. Prior to Montclair Golf Club, he was Director of Tennis at the famed Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. Before working at the Greenbrier, Clay was the Director of Tennis at The Cleveland Skating Club in Shaker Heights, OH. In Ohio, he was also the Head Tennis Coach at Hathaway Brown, an all-girls preparatory school, where he led the girls’ team to consecutive state championships in 2003 and 2004. As a college student, Clay played tennis for the University of Louisville, where he captained the men’s team to a top 30 national ranking.

 

Phil Stevinson,Rahway, NJ – Director of Player Development and High Performance Tennis Academy  
Prior to CAC, Phil had been the Director of Junior Development for the Westfield Tennis Club where he managed a large program for junior members and developed an Advanced Developmental program for High Performance junior members. During the winter months, Phil was the Head Pro/ Director of Junior Development at Cranford Indoor Tennis Center where he also developed and implemented clinics and programs for high performance junior members. Prior to his work as a tennis professional in New Jersey, Phil was employed for three years as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Penn State University, specifically working with the Men's and Women's Tennis Teams. As a college student, Phil played tennis for the College of New Jersey,(formerly,Trenton State College),where he achieved a National Ranking of #4 and was All-American collegiate player.

 

Amy Beavers, Kingsport, TN – Director of  Adult Tennis
A recent graduate of Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, Amy brings a female perspective to Centercourt Athletic Club. She started playing tennis when she was just three-years old, and has never stopped. She quickly worked her way to a top three ranking in Tennessee and top fifty in the South. When Amy was 13, she moved overseas to Singapore, then to Tokyo, Japan, exposing her to various styles of learning and play. Playing #1 on her high school team, Amy led her teammates to back-to-back State Championships, securing two Doubles State Championships with her younger sister. She earned a scholarship to play Division I tennis at Gardner-Webb University. In college, Amy set a record by posting the most wins for her University in a four-year period.


Amy is USPTA certified. She directed the Kingsport Tennis Academy in Tennessee in 2006 and 2007 and then went on to help run the junior tennis program at Sportime in Amagansett, NY in 2008 and 2009.


 

 

 

Jeff Rothstein, Munster, IN - Director of Junior Development and QuickStart Tennis/ Tournament Director 
Jeff is a USPTA certified Tennis Professional and is accredited as a USTA High Performance Coach.  Jeff was the 2009 USTPA Eastern Division Professional of the Year. He is currently the head coach of the Eastern boy's and girl's 16's Summer National Zonal Team as well as a USTA Eastern High Performance Camp coach and USTA Talent ID coach. Jeff has an extensive background in working with young juniors and was selected to be a USTA High Performance National QuickStart Trainer. QuickStart is a tennis teaching system for children 10 and under that uses a modified court size, raqcuet and low compression ball. Jeff chairs the USTA Eastern Junior Competition's QuickStart Committee. Jeff has taught tennis extensively in the chicagoland area as well as in New Jersey. Over his career, Jeff has received many awards from the USPTA and USTA for his contributions to the game. He played competitive tennis as a junior on a regional, sectional and national level.

 

John Lerch, Chatham, NJ – Head Tennis Professional
John has been the Head Racquet Professional at CAC for 31 years and is USPTA certified. Prior to CAC, John was Head Racquet Professional at Orange Lawn Tennis Club in South Orange, NJ. Before coming to New Jersey, John was the Staff Racquet Professional at Palos Verdes Tennis Club in California. He is a graduate of Duke University. While at Duke, he played Division I tennis for the Blue Devils. As a student at Chatham High School, John led his team to 3 consecutive Group 1 State Tennis Championships in 1967, 1968, and 1969.

 

Andy Yenawine,Westfield, NJ – Head Tennis Professional / Women's Team Coach 
Andy has been a USPTA Head Racquet Professional at CAC for the past 10 years. He is a graduate of Drew University and MAC Conference Doubles Champion. Prior to joining the CAC team, Andy was the Assistant Varsity Coach for the men’s and women’s tennis teams at his Alma Mater. He is currently the Head Coach for the Centercourt ladies’ AA GSL team, leading them to first place finishes in 2002, 2003, and 2004.

 

Luis Manuel De Jesus, Dominican Republic-Santo Domingo – Head Tennis Professional
Luis played division 1 at the age of 14 in the Dominican Republic. His highest ranking was #12 in the Boys 18 and under Eastern USTA Division. He played in many national tournaments and was #1 at his high school in Perth Amboy. He has been an instructor for over 15 years. Luis is a USPTR Professional.

 

Barry Gilbert, Piedmont, CA – High Performance Academy Consultant/Coach  
Barry is a product of one of the most dynamic tennis families in the country. Barry grew up in Piedmont, CA where he was a nationally ranked junior and went onto play the #3 singles position for the University of South Carolina. He was a ranked ATP Tour doubles player and competed in the French Open mixed doubles tournament in 1981 with his sister Dana who achieved a WTA Ranking of #40 in her professional career. He also spent time with his brother Brad as a coach/consultant. Brad achieved an ATP Tour Ranking of #4 in the world in 1990 and in recent years was the personal coach for Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick, and Andy Murray.

 

Jose Alberto Lara, Dominican Republic – High Performance Academy Tennis Coach

As a boy, Jose’ learned how to play tennis from his father, Mario. Jose’ achieved a national ranking of #2 in the Dominican Republic as a junior tennis player. At the age of 16 he started to teach with Guilleron Vilas. Jose’ enjoys teaching all levels of play, and is a vital part of our Tournament Training Team. Jose is PTR certified.

 

Jose “Joseph” Nenganga, South Africa and Portugal - High Performance  Academy Tennis Coach
Before Joseph became a part of the Centercourt team, he was ranked 51st in the world at the age of 16. He was also a Davis Cup player, ranked #2 in 2002 and 2003. He continued his career by competing in the Angola vs. Armenia championships in 2003, and Angola vs. Malta in 2002. In 2002 he also competed at the Junior Wimbledon championships. He completed his career and training working with Coach Frank Salazar at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in College Park, MD. Joseph is a PTR Certified Professional.

 

Scott Greenwald, East Brunswick, NJ – High Performance Academy Tennis Coach

Scott spent his last two years of high school training at the Bollittieri Tennis Academy and the Evert Academy, along with Andy Roddick. He received a full scholarship to play Division I Tennis at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His playing career was cut short due to injuries, but his passion for tennis continues.  Scott  is a USPTA certified Tennis Professional, as well as Etcheberry Certified in the movements and fitness of tennis.

 

 

Rob Polishook, Summit, NJ– Mental Training Coach. MA, CPC
Rob helps athletes uncover their mental edge, often the difference between winning and losing. He specializes in working with athletes that have performance blocks (ie yips, slumps), helping ahtletes process through the "unspoken" psychological impact of injuries, and teaching mental edge skills, tools and techniques. Rob has a Masters (MA) in psychologiccal studies with a concentration in sport and exercise psychology from Seton Hall University. (SHU) He also has received his certification in sport and exercise psycholgy from SHU. Additionally, he has a certification from Jim Loehr's mental toughness program and is a certified professional/life coach (CPC). Rob received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University. He and his wife Debbie live in Summit.

 

Ari Zuckerman, Teaneck, NJ – Tennis League Coordinator/ Tennis Professional
Ari scored big in high school, playing the #1 singles position for Solomon Schechter from 1994 to 1997. After receiving a BA at the University of Massachusetts, he went on to a career in media sales. He went full swing back to tennis in 2008, where he was the Junior Tennis Director at First Serve Tennis Academy in Berkeley Heights, NJ. He then went on to become Head Coach of Gil St. Bernard Middle School in Gladstone, NJ. Ari is now the Director of Junior Tennis Development at Centercourt. Ari is a USPTR Certified Professional.

 

Tom Paulson, Greenwich CT – Tennis Professional
An Ohio Wesleyan graduate and new addition to the Centercourt team in 2009, Tom’s career began in high school where he played for the varsity team in singles and doubles from 1979 to 1981. From there he became the Head Pro at the Greenwich Racquet Club (1991-1994), The Head Pro at the Rye Racquet Club (1994-1998), and the Head Pro at the Grand Slam Racquet Club in Greenwich, CT. Tom is a USPTA Certified Professional.

 

Victor Zaw Htun, Myanmar, Thailand – Tennis Professional
Victor was born in Myanmar and started playing tennis with his father when he was eight years old. His father taught him how to play and teach tennis. After becoming a selective player of Yangon Division, Victor won many tournaments during 2001 through 2003 against other divisions around the country. He has been teaching since 2001.


In 2007 Victor arrived in the US and received a position as a tennis instructor in the New York Junior Tennis League. He became a certified instructor at the professional tennis registry in July 2008, before joining the Centercourt team.


 

 

Seth Bronheim, New York, NY– Director of Fitness MS, RD, CDN, CFTW  
Seth is a Registed Dietitian/ Nutritionist and a Certified Fitness Trainer. Seth will be integrating fitness and nutrition for athletes and members of Centercourt. His passion for fitness and nutrition began in high school. As an overweight athlete, he realized that improving his eating habits and fitness level would help him become leaner, faster and stronger in the water as a swimmer as well as on the tennis court. In High School, Seth was the captain of the varsity swim team and his event was the 100 yard Butterfly. He was also captain of the varsity tennis team and played singles and doubles. Seth specializes in nutrition optimization for exercise, athletics, health, and weight management. He received his Bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Indiana University and earned his Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University. Seth completed his dietetic internship through the North Shore - Long Island Jewish Health System.

 

Kevin Guidicipietro, Mountainside, NJ– Head Fitness Trainer

Kevin attended Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, receiving a BS degree in Business Administartion with a concentration in Marketing. While at Sacred Heart, he played four years of Division I tennis receiving All Conference Honors in 2005 and ITA All Scholar Athlete Honors in 2007. Kevin is also head fitness trainer, nationally recognized under the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer, as well as USPTR Certified. Kevin has actively trained in mixed martial arts for several years and is currently competing as an amateur Muay Thai fighter. In addition, he serves the community as a volunteer firefighter in his town of Mountainside.

 

Brian Dobbie, Basking Ridge, NJ – Director of Golf Instruction and Golf Training
Brian comes to us with over 15 years experience teaching all levels of players. He is a NJPGA Golf Professional at Montclair Golf Club and is also a certified TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) trainer and a certified AAFA fitness trainer. Our new teaching facility will feature video equipment, and indoor golf for swing analysis and lessons. Also, fitness evaluations and corrective programs will be designed to maximize your potential as a player. Join Brian and his staff to bring your game to the next level.

 

Patty Hogan, Summit, NJ - Director of Platform Tennis

Patty was the former Director of Racquets at the Beacon Hill Club in Summit, NJ. She has an extensive racquets background in both tennis and platform tennis.

Jill Estes Feher, Chatham, NJ - Platform Tennis Professional
Jill joins the CAC team from a solid racquets background.  Her family shares 6 USTA National Championships and 17 American Platform Tennis Association National Championships.  She, herself, captained the Division 1 collegiate tennis team at the University of Rhode Island, playing #1 singles and doubles.  She was the Father/Daughter Tennis finalist in both National Grass and Clay Court Championships and holds the USTA National Father/Daughter ranking of #3.  She has been instructing tennis and paddle for about 10 years.  She married Robert Feher, whose family background is also a racquets one. 

 

Matt Rizzuto, Hartford CT – Director of Operations
Matt is a recent graduate of Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina with a BS in Business Administration and a minor in Mathematics. Matt always excelled in sports, specifically baseball, tennis and football. He was a four-year, Division I starter on the Gardner-Webb baseball team, earning All Conference honors his sophomore year. He holds the record for the most home runs for middle–infielders in Gardner-Webb history.

 

Jennifer Marquardt, Chatham, NJ - Director of Membership and Member Services

Jennifer began her 20 year career in Sales and Management at Katz Communications in New York City. She then went on to work in print media at US Magazine, continuing into retail sales and technical recruiting. After an 8 year hiatus to raise her two sons, Jennifer is now back and hard at work behind the desk of CAC. She was also the captain of CAC’s new Spring League team last year, which finished in second place.

 

Claire Martin, Chatham, NJ - Director of Accounting
Claire heads the CAC administration office with over 17 years of service. Claire’s primary responsibility is to maintain the clubs books and records as well as manage the monthly billing statement process. Additionally, Claire and her staff often provide membership support and handle billing inquiries.

 

Chloe Parenti, Montclair, NJ – Operations Manager/Retail Manager
Chloe Parenti of Montclair, NJ is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, with an extensive background in management, customer service and event planning. Chloe oversees pro shop operations and in-house events at CAC, as well assisting in day-to-day operations at the club.

 

John Delgado, Ecuador, – Property Manager
“Johnny” has been in the United States for almost 20 years. He began working in the Diamond District in New York City, setting diamonds for over 12 years. From there he moved into construction. His oldest of three children plays tennis. At a tournament in upstate New York he met the owner of a tennis facility. He was hired shortly after the meeting and learned everything he needed to know about the workings of a tennis club. Johnny has been a vital part of the Centercourt team for the past 3 years.
